have been missing for a while...i've been getting accustomed to working life lately. this is my first real job. i got a job at a childcare at bukit timah. its a very nice school and the kids are very cute and aodrable. i'm the assistant teacher to a N1 class, the kids are 2- 3 years old. there are two classes, morning and afternoon session.last week was my first week at work. i was so exhausted at the end of each day i just sat down in front of the tv after i bathed and had dinner then i went to sleep and back to work the next day. today is the first day of the second week. things are going better at work. i'm not so blur already and quite familiar with the schedule and the way things are done. my boss and colleagues are very nice. its a very warm and friendly working environment. i am gaining lots of great experience from my holiday job and i now know that working and field practicum or attachment are completely different things. even though the setting is similar, i feel more accountable for what i do and more committed to the school. this comes with a certain amount of pressure and i expect more from myself and i am very careful with the things i say and the things i do. now i really understand what my lecturers mean when they say we are in a bubble or a very protected environment during field practicum.
