i've not updated in a long time cause i've been real busy. attachment... wat can i say. i just wish it was over. like i could just blink my eyes and then it would all be over. but too bad i'm living in the real world.
i was really happy to have the chance to escape for a while. i went to england for 10 days. from 23/7- 3/8. it was a great trip. i enjoyed sight seeing and shopping... haha. the architecture in england is spectacular. so full of character and rich in history. the food was good too, ate the famous fish and chips. it was delicious. my sister brought my mom and i around oxford and london. went to london for 2 days and spent the rest of the days at oxford.
when we were at oxford, we walked around the city and visited some of the colleges. the first one we went to was my sister's college, lincoln college. the colleges are all quite old. a few hundred years old and mostly built with stone with detailed carvings on the walls. very harry potter like. then we went shopping in market street. lots to buy, there was a summer sale going on. got myself some cheap deals but even though its cheap there when u convert it back to sing dollars its still expensive. ate some good food at oxford too, had italian, spanish, thai, french and english food of course.
we took a bus to london from oxford for two days. my sister brought us to see all the sights. we took the tube to get around. hehe... not dangerous at all. i found it quite thrilling. there were policemen patrolling the stations and riding on the trains so it was pretty safe. we visited all the places london is famous for, big ben, westminster abbey, st paul's cathedral, tower of london, buckingham palace, the national art gallery, covent garden, leicester square and harrods. had a quick and packed tour of london, tour guide big sis tried her best to squeeze everything in. a lot of walking around so it was pretty tiring but worth it.
we even managed to catch a west end play in leicester square. my very first west end play. it was called "some girls" starring david schwimmer (ross) from f.r.i.e.n.d.s. it was a funny play, a romantic comedy about a guy who is about to get married and he tries to make amends for his worng doings with some of his exes, but fails miserably.
so i had a enjoyable and happy time in england. i have been floating on a bubble for more than a week. and now i've landed on the ground. time to get back to my real life... bye bye england. i'll miss you. hope we meet again soon =)below are some of the pictures i took in oxford and london. many more... i'll continue to post them when i can. enjoy...
